Sukhwinder Singh is an Indian film singer best known in Bollywood as a playback singer. He is famous for singing the song “Chaiyya Chaiyya” for which he won the Best Male Playback Award at the 1999 Filmfare Awards. He first performed on stage at the age of eight years and sang a Lata Mangeshkar number “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”.

Singh joined Laxmikant-Pyarelal’s troupe and quickly became a music arranger, before heading to the south of India to look for work. The combination of Sukhwinder Singh and composer A.R.Rahman has given lot of hit songs. He has also recorded a couple of Tamil songs for Rahman, Thiruvallikkeri Rani from Udhaya and Lucky Lucky from Ratchagan.
His title song from the movie ‘Chak De India’ became a national anthem in 2007 and he hogged the limelight all over again. Isn’t great!!!!!!!!!!!
