In 1998 when he was just 21 years of age, he released his debut album ‘Sawan Mein Lag Gayee Aag’ which was an instant success for him. Since then Mika released numerous other hit albums like Ishq Brandy, Something Something, Gabru, and Dunali. His other hit numbers included Desi Beat for the film Bodyguard, Dhinka Chika for the movie Ready, Subah Hone Na De for Desi Boyz, Saj Dhaj Ke for Mausam, Gaddi Modange for Dharti & a Bengali film title track Paglu.

Mika was born on June 10, 1977, in Durgapur, West Bengal to a Ajmer Singh Chandan and Balbir Kaur.
