Ajay Devgan Biography; Personal Life
Ajay Devgn was born on 2 April, 1969 in New Delhi to the famous director and action choreographer Veeru Devgan and Veena. Ajay got advantage of his background as his dad ‘Veeru Devgan’ is working as a stunt man while her mom ‘Veena Devgan’ is a movie producer. His brother Anil Devgan is a Hindi film director. He became the first Bollywood personality to buy a private jet for travelling to shooting locations, promotions and personal trips.
Career
Ajay Devgn made his debut with Phool Aur Kaante in year 1991 which made him won Filmfare award. In 1992, he starred in bollywood martial arts action romantic film “Jigar” alongside Karisma Kapoor, which was seventh highest grossing movie of the year at boxoffice. He later set up a production company known as Ajay Devgn Films Productions. Its first film was Raju Chacha in 2000 with his wife Kajol in lead. The film was a huge success. In 2002, he gave a critically acclaimed performance in the movie “Deewangee” for which he received the Filmfare “Best Villain Award”. In 2008, he debuted as a film director with “U Me Aur Hum”.
Throughout his career he has performed in many critically and commercially successful films including Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), Golmaal Returns (2008), Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), Singham (2011), Bol Bachchan (2012), Action Jackson (2014), Drishyam (2015) and others. Devgn has starred in more than 80 Hindi films and has bagged several awards in his acting career.
