Barun made his acting debut in 2009 with the daily soap Shraddha as Swayam Khurana. Later he materializes in a cameo role in popular show Dill Mill Gayye as Raj Singh. He left the show to join the TV serial Baat Hamari Pakki Hai, where he portrayed the character of Shravan Jaiswal opposite Ankita Sharma as Sanchi.
