About The Company
BESCOM or Bangalore Electricity Supply Company is the part of The Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited, also called KPTCL. The firm is the only electricity transmission and Distributor in Karnataka.
The company distributes electricity in eight districts of Karnataka, covering an area of 41,092 Sq. Kms. The firm is now lighting up the houses of over 207 lakh people. The company supplies power with its three operating Zones namely Bangalore Metropolitan Area Zone, Bangalore Rural Area Zone and Chitradurga Zone.

The firm has 9 Circles, around 28 divisions, over 118 sub-divisions and 453 section offices. BESCOM took the responsibility from KPTCL for the supply of electricity in 8 districts. From1st June 2002, Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited started distributing electricity.
